https://learn.microsoft.com/ Pops Up When I Start Windows :-(

Suddenly today I have a problem on startup that happens every time and never happened before: my Firefox Browser pops up with the following URL: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/menurc/resource-compiler?redirectedfrom=MSDN
I didn't ask for this and I would like to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

Go to the web page you want to save as your home page, and follow these instructions

The problem is not with my home page, which looks normal. The problem is some app is starting Firefox and directing it to this address as part of the boot-up for my system, and I can't find a way to turn this off!

In Firefox, on the toolbar click the Extensions Icon and disable or remove any extensions you don't use or are not familiar with Manage your extensions using the extensions button in the toolbar | Firefox Help
You can also download Malwarebytes, let it scan and Quarantine anything that it finds.

Thanks for these suggestions. Unfortunately, neither my Firefox dashboard nor Malwarebytes was able to find this problem.

To be clear, this is not a problem that happens when I first open Firefox. SOMETHING in my system boot-up sequence is opening Firefox before I could and displaying this MSDN linked site.

I've looked through the standard Windows controls to find startup programs and found nothing except the services list, which is too many for me to sort out. I recall there's a way to access more stuff from the taskbar search window but can't recall the magic words to start that process.

You can go to Task Manager and see if there are any apps that trigger Firefox to load.

Or download Autoruns, this will tell you what apps start with Windows and you can easily find what it is
