    Hacked computer issues

    My computer has been hacked or back doored for over a year. I’m on some old windows server edition or something but I definitely don’t have full control over it and credentials keep popping up in the credentials section. My computer is acting as some sort of server or virtual machine and literally everything I do is being logged and spied on. Can someone please help me stop this exploitation and theft and sabotage. I’ve reset my windows 1000 times bought new windows keys and everything and I still can’t get it off.

    Also I can’t remove anything that says remote access or rdp. When I dig further my computer is set up as a workstation and host or something and it is also set up on Enterprise. It’s weird because it says windows 10 home but the version is some enterprise beta version or something.

    Please fill out the My Computer part of your profile so we know the specs and version of Windows you are running.
    Your profile currently says you are running Windows 10. Please tell us what Server Edition you are running? Do you need Windows Server? Can you install Windows 10?

    You can look to see if someone is not authorized to login to your computer How to check if someone logged into your Windows 10 PC | Windows Central

    Do not Reset your computer, Do a Clean Install of Windows 10. Where you would delete all partitions and let Windows install create partitions and format them. Log into your Microsoft Account and change your password.
    Then Reset your Internet Router to Defaults, Reset your WiFi Password.
    Change passwords for all the other sites you login to like social media, Email, banking etc.
    Reset your

    We can use a screenshot of these credentials that pops out that will help a lot.

    It’s always some weird user name and password.

    No matter what I do it always brings over old data and powershell scripts etc even after a fresh install. I’ve formatted the drives bought new ones bought a new motherboard etc.

    When I go to events views there’s literally thousands of errors even after a new install

    It’s always some weird user name and password. I have no access to group policy

    It’s automatically migrating my settings over with scripts or something.

    If you are running Windows 10, it is not some Weird old Server Edition.
    You can download the latest ISO Image of Windows 10 directly from Microsoft and burn it to a USB Flash drive using the Media Creation Tool. This will be the latest edition of Microsoft Windows

    During the Windows install;, it asks you to sign in with your Microsoft Account. So, there will be no other Weird User Names and Password.
    If you decide to not use your Microsoft Account, you can choose to disconnect from the internet and say no internet, and it will ask you to put in your User Name and to choose a Password. So, again, no other Weird User Names.
    After Windows is installed, do no restore any backup files or 3rd party apps until you are certain there is no corruption.

    If Windows was previously installed on this computer and it was Activated, then the Windows Product Key would be saved in the computers Bios. Or it would be saved online in your Microsoft account, so, during the Windows install, when you signed into your Microsoft Account, it would Activate Windows. If the Product key that is saved is for Windows 10 Home, then you will get Windows 10 Home and not Pro so you won't have access to Group Policy Editor.
    If Windows 10 does not Activate, then you need to type in your Windows License.

    When you sign in with you Microsoft Account, it tries to restore your saved account.

    I would download the latest Windows 10 ISO image, I would disconnect your computer from the internet and boot off of the Windows Installer. Choose your Language, Install Now, then Custom Install as outlined in link in Post #3. In Where Would You Like to Install Windows? Delete ALL Partitions until the drive is all Unallocated Space. then click Next. Windows will create partitions, format them during the install.
    After the first Reboot, the installer will ask for you to connect to the internet. It will ask to sign in using your Microsoft Account click No Internet. Then type in your own User Name and Password. Be sure it is a different password then you have been using. That should be the only User Name other then Default User, and Guest on the computer.

    Lets see if i can find anything that might be causing problems !
    Download these 2 programs & run them, when done post the logs so we can see if that problem goes away or do i need to have you run a more stronger program ??
    Malwarebytes AdwCleaner >>> Download AdwCleaner
    Please download AdwCleaner and save it to your Desktop
    * Close all open programs and browsers
    * Right click on the icon and select Run as administrator
    * Click Scan now
    * Allow the program to Quarantine what it finds except for Pre-installed applications if you would like to keep those or other entries you would like to keep
    * When completed click View Scan Log File
    * Copy and paste the contents in your reply
    * Click Skip Basic Repair if it appears then close the program

    ===========

    Full System Scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware >>> https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download
    * If not existing, please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.
    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

    * If the program is already installed:
    * Run Malwarebytes Antimalware
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform fullscan, place a checkmark on all hard drives, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location.
    * The log can also be found here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt
    * Or at C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt
    *** Post that log back here or just tell me what it found ?
    If it is to long then you will have to zip it or find a site to download it to & let me know where !

    Post the logs so i can read them unless nothing is found ! If they are to big then zip them up & give me a link !!

    Thanks
    Chuck

    I’ve done a clean install but I think my installation media has a bad or inauthentic version on windows. Where is the specs sheet?
    1. Create a new current valid Win 10 installation disk:

    Google MS media creation tool
    or see
    Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

    2. When clean installing, ensure you delete all existing partitions on the disk. (Steps 14/15 of the clean install tutorial). In your case format the system disk.

    If you perform a clean install there should be no malware - no user accounts other than what you set up.

    One possibility: you have other disks in your PC which are infected in some way.
    So when you clean install, ensure only the system disk is in place.

    Disconnect or remove all other disks, internal and external.

    First time: choose NOT to receive updates at all during the installation. Disconnect the internet.

    Prove that you can create a clean installation... and examine it carefully.

    Then connect the internet and proceed step by step, checking for any form of corruption/infection.

    If it occurs, you then know a little more what it might be related to/how it occurs.

    The various pieces of advice given here seem to be good ... but they diverge. The OP needs **one** path to success.

    I'm leaning toward dalchina's suggestion: a fresh Windows install. But I don't think the OP is convinced ... though he does say "I think my installation media has a bad or inauthentic version of windows".

    That point needs to be emphasized. A good install will have none of the strange behaviors the OP described earlier.

    When I dig further my computer is set up as a workstation and host or something and it is also set up on Enterprise
    The Enterprise version of Windows 10 is supposed to be used for Big Corporations that have a several computers and they have a Activation Server that activates all of the computers.
    Some people will sell a computer 2nd hand and put the Enterprise version on it because it requires no Windows License to Install. But it won't be activated.
    We Strongly suggest purchasing a Windows 10 License Or Installer from Amazon or Ebay and following the instructions for doing a clean install and type in this Product key license.
    @dalchina and I have both said the same thing, Download the ISO image linked in either of these posts and burn the Image to a USB Flash Drive and boot off of the Flash drive and do a Clean Install Of Windows. type in a Valid Windows 10 license.
