I want my files to show in the order that they were last accessed. I can open multiple files, sort by 'Accessed' and they still won't show up at the top.
'Date Modified' seems to work fine 90% of the time. Newer files are usually sorted at the top with this option.

Hi Denis,
I followed the steps in your link to enable Date Accessed. However, my files still do not update as 'accessed' when they're opened.
The only way I can seem to get them to update is by renaming them. When I open a video/media file, the date accessed just stays the same.
Also, sometimes when I open a folder which contains multiple files, all of the files will suddenly say that they've been accessed recently even if I haven't opened or modified them.
I suggest you post your questions in the tutorial thread.
Brink, the tutorial author, probably knows more than anyone else here about the subject.

To illustrate this: a quick play showed that 'date accessed' is indeed not immediately reflected by file explorer after a file has been accessed (by default).
Example:
There I have just accessed the file, as you can see in its properties.
However, file explorer is not updated to reflect that.
Date Accessed is, however, updated if e.g. file explorer is closed and relaunched.
Presumably that behaviour reflects the fact I've not used
