How do I remove a folder?

Windows 10 Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.2604)

I downloaded and unpacked this Brother package for a printer. I removed the original file I downloaded, but my computer won't let me remove the unpacked folder. I get:

Folder Access denied
You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this folder.

I clicked on "Continue" and then it said:

You need permission to perform this action.
You require permission from DESKTOP-7AD6CTF\***** to make changes to this folder.

I've been to several links to try and remedy the problem but nothing seems to work. I wouldn't care so much except that it's a huge file and I'd like to get rid of it.

Please help if you can.

It could be stuck in memory because the installer or unpacker never terminated completely or some file in the folder is still in memory. You can try restart the computer and then delete it, if this is the case it will delete after a restart failing that then....

Open a CMD as admin and cd to the location of the folder. Example folder name.... folderToDelete

cd into the location where the folder is.

Example:
cd /d C:\Users\name\Documents
takeown /r /f folderToDelete

Delete the folder.

I have "TakeOwnershipPro on my right click menu and had already used it to no avail. I decided to try it again after reading this and it worked. Go figure! Thanks again.
