Getting The Upper Bar (Title Bar ?) To Show Again After A Re-Install ?

    Hello,

Will blame everything on old age now:

    Had to re-install W10 after a crash.

How, please, do I get back that upper bar, which I think is called
a Title Bar, but am not sure.

Would like to put a UTC clock link in it, show the present time, and a few other items.

Can't find a way of getting it to show.

    How, please ?

    Thanks,
    Bob

The red box is the title bar. Is this what you are meaning? if not, a pic is worth a thousand words.

    Bob,

Do you mean the Taskbar & you had [previously] moved it to the top but it's now in its default location at the bottom of the screen?

    Hi,

Yes the red box that you show on the top is what I would like to get it to show again.

I do have the bottom bar working.

I apologize, but am uncertain what the correct terminology is for either ?

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Bob,

If you move windows around the screen, their position can obscure the TitleBar.
Some applications let you display them 'Full screen' [generally by pressing F11 or Fn-F11] and that hides the Titlebar. You can get out of it by pressing F11 or Fn-F11 again.

I also think you should post a screenshot so the problem can be better understood.

Do you have any screenshots left over from before your reinstall that would show us what it is you are trying to get back to?

    All the best,

It seems odd that if you really clean installed Win 10 you have such a problem.

Just to check-- a clean install means
    - booting your PC from a (USB) Win 10 install disk
    - deleting partitions on the internal disk comprising your old Win 10 installation
    - installing Win 10 to unallocated space.

Is that what you did? (Tutorial available).

As to the height of the taskbar:

    - if that's anything like your issue. (Great free utility - recommended).

Further, if you are in fact talking about the title bar rather than the taskbar, this

    - doesn't sound meaningful....
