Desktop PC has been locking up often

My desktop has been freezing often lately. It's still a new PC and I've only had it for 3 months. It's been freezing at random times and causes me to have to do a force shutdown. I would have to say that my PC freezes no more than one time in a day, but it's not everyday single day that it freezes. I'll provide as much details as I can.

    - I mainly have my HDMI plugged into my LGTV for media purposes and as I'm working on my projects. (Blender 3D modeling program).

    - I used to always have my PC running at high performance, and when I thought that was causing the issue I set my power options to "Balanced". Since then my PC still froze once on that rare occasion, but at that time I wasn't doing anything that demanded a lot of energy from my PC. I was watching youtube with the HDMI still plugged in.

    - I have an NVidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, all of my Windows drivers do not need to be updated nor does anything else. I've installed optional Windows updates about a couple days ago. (I experienced a freeze once after those updates.)

    And here's more details

See if any of the locks up sections are helpful

I'll take a shot and say the problem could be overheating, especially if it's over 80 degrees or so in your house.

I would not expect the 'store bought' Dell computer to have sufficient fan power to keep everything from the CPU to the RAM to the GPU sufficiently cool under prolonged maximum load. Even though it's only 3 months old, it could be the fans are starting to get clogged with household dust.

I'll suggest an easy fix that worked for a friends' flat screen TV that would 'cut out' randomly... I put a small 7-8" clip on desk fan at the back of his TV table and aimed it at the back of the TV. Problem solved.

If that doesn't fix it, then it could be 1 stick of RAM failing, or GPU failing, or CPU failing...in that order, in my opinion. RAM failures are never consistent in their results and difficult to 'force happen' on demand making narrowing it down to which stick difficult.

Two possible elementary comparisons you can try - if you also experience a freeze with these...
    a. Boot to Safe Mode ... if you experience a freeze, then probably hardware

    b. Boot from a live boot disk ...if you experience a freeze, then must be hardware

Have you checked your disks? Hard Disk Sentinel - excellent.

Consider disconnecting all but your system disk.

PSU - poor regulation, insufficient capacity, voltage spikes....

Before doing all of that, try a Clean Boot. If this works, you can leave it this way, or your can add one Service or Startup item at a time until the computer freezes. then you will know the culprit.

Does your Reliability History have any entries covering the problem and if so,the ---view tech details ---should give information in the ---problem event name --- and ---application name---.
It would be advisable to remove your product and device I.D.'s from post 1,Device Specifications. They are more useful to scammers.
