    Computer Management>Disk Management

I need to have a customized Disk Management view. I have no problem changing the views but cannot find a way to set the customized view as the default view.

    Hi,

You need to create a Custom Console

Open Run, Type mmc, Press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER

In the console, Click File menu, Add/Remove Snap-in.

Select "Disk Management", Click Add, Select "This Computer", Click Finish, Click Ok.

Click the View menu, Select "Customize", Remove: "Console Tree", "Action Pane".

That Should be very close to the original one... Customize it as you want.

Click File Menu, Save, Give it a name, Click save. Put it in your documents and create a shortcut to it where you need.

When ever you want your Custom Disk Management Console use your shortcut.

    Malo,

    Brilliant.
May the songs of a thousand harps praise your every step.

And they are transferable. I've just copied mine to another computer and it still shows up as I wanted with all Status column text visible.
    - Both computers have the same resolution [1920x1080].
    - I've since tried it on a 1920x1200 computer and the text was all visible on that as well.
    - I just had to adjust the vertical layout for each computer to include all of my disks in the graphical section.

It also works in Windows 11.
I had to adjust the vertical layout to suit my Windows 11 computer's low screen resolution [1366x768] but the text was already all visible.

Malok, that is lovely, many thanks. Like Denis said. Now when I open it, everything is fully expanded. I love it.
