    2 Questions about automatically restart windows 10


    1-I want windows 10 to automatically restart every 3 days
    so do i need to only go to go to task Scheduler create a simple task choose daily and then change the recur to 3 days ?
    is that how to do it ?

    2-now in the add arguments do i need to just type -r or also the -f ?
    how do i make it to wait if there is a busy program or service and not force close it ?
    just like when i go to start menu and hit restart

    Hello yafatana ,

    #1 - looks fine.
    #2 - good idea to test your commands from the command line before putting into TS. Close all apps expect open Notepad app
    with a test file, then see what happens with and without /f.

    i created a test notepad with some random words and didn't save i then tested
    the /r without the /f and with the /f and it restarted the system without even notify me about the unsaved notepad

    So it may help us to understand why you are trying to automate the restart vs doing it manually under your control?
