    Windows 10 won't wake

I just installed Windows 10 21H1 and everything went well except, most of the time it will not wake by shaking the mouse or pressing the mouse button. Tapping the keyboard won't help. I have looked in the device manager and see that both the mouse and keyboard are set to wake the system but they don't.

    Hello Len,

Check Change Power Plan Settings in Windows 10 Is the PC set to sleep or hibernate?

As a test, disable hibernation with "powercfg /h off" and see what happens.

I did as you suggested with the power plan but, it's the same thing, won't wake, but I did notice something. The power button on the tower, which was yellow while it was sleeping, changed to blue when I moved the mouse. I appreciate your help, thanks.

    Thanks Len,
Make sure the BIOS and drivers are up to date from PC manufacturer website. They affect waking up too - especially the video driver.

It's a Compaq Presario and it started as Windows 7 and I upgraded it to W10 years ago, but now I cant find any drivers listed on the HP/Compaq driver page. I even loaded the support assistant to get drivers and it didn't show any. I now have Windows 10 21H1.

When I do suggestion 1 it comes back with: We were unable to find drivers for your product.

    - - - Updated - - -

It also tells me there are no Windows 10 drivers for this product.

Couldn't find any drivers for that serial number on hp website.

What is the full model number and name? I see a Lenovo in your profile.
