Hey folks. I'm an old guy mostly looking for help. I spent 50 years in IT. Most of my time was spent implementing & supporting infrastructure. I entered the field before virtual memory. Survived the mini, NetWare & AD eras. I retired in the early phases of the cloud era. The 1st Microsoft O/S I officially implemented & supported was NT. My 1st Microsoft project was to upgrade a few hundred 3.51 servers to NT 4. The O/S that I know the best is 2003 but have a solid working knowledge of 2008. I designed an AD environment on Windows 2000 deploying it on Windows 2003 for a global corporation.
Being retired I haven't had much experience since Windows 2008. Microsoft has automated the problem recovery environment so there's really no reason to dig in. I do hope I can share some of my troubleshooting experience with folks but most will be advice vs. helpful action items.

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

I too am retired from a career in IT support, but I took my work home with me. It's my retirement hobby now. I thought I had already learned a lot over my career, but I have learned so much more here in these forums. I'm sure you will too.
