finally, an introduction
Hello. I've actually been a member of the forum since 2020, but have never posted to the forum.
I've been using computers since 1977 (mainframes) and bought my first IBM PC in 1982. When I brought it home, my wife said "What are we going to do with that?". She's a CPA, and her attidude changed when I introduced her to VisaCalc.
I haven't done any programming in years (my first progamming was in Fortran), and I'm now attempting to learn C++.

Welcome to (posting on) Ten Forums.
The only programming language I was ever formally taught was Fortran at university in the early 70's, all done on punched cards and run as a batch job on their ICL1900. Every other language I've used since then has been self-taught, from assembly language up to C++. My career moved into IT support and by the time I retired I was specialising in support for NT4, both desktops and server management.
