Hope to help in any way I can, I have a lot of experience with Windows all the way back to v3.11 (yep, I'm THAT old!) but nobody knows everything so I'll need some help too.

Recently migrated to Win10 after a long and happy relationship with Win7. The very fact that I've registered here should probably indicate that there are some "teething troubles" with my new OS.

    Anyway...hello! :)

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

I go back as far as MS-Dos 3.2. My first Windows was 3.1, I remember when 3.11 was released - a big improvement.

And anyway, when has any OS not had "teething problems" throughout its life (and beyond)?

    Ahh, very true.

But I think there's an element of "I'm getting too old for this shizz" creeping in now...I just want things to work (I know, I know, and rainbows and unicorns ).

W10 is considerably better now than it was on launch. Just in time for it to be replaced with W11.

Same with XP, same with Win7. Just got to the point of being pretty reliable and then replaced.

Ah well, MS have to generate revenue somehow I suppose!
