Latency Storport.sys spike & even after windows reset

Hi,

I've just reset my pc due to latency issue back again. According to LatencyMon, the issue is from Storport.sys I don't have the buzz sound frequently it's like once very hour on average but it's quite annoying.

This time I have tried to re-install only AMD chipset & video card drivers and let windows install the ones he want for the other. In the hope to fix that issue...

But I still have the random latency spike. I installed Armoury crate and strangely it don't see any RealkTek Audio driver installed. In device manager it is there... See screenshot.

I deleted the driver in the device manager and rebooted. Windows re-installed the driver and Armoury Crate still show the same thing. What should I do? I'm not even sure that this is causing the latency problem. Intel also say I'm up to date.

Hi, when did you last not have this issue?
Alas, so often posters omit history.

I will assume you didn't have this problem with an older build of Windows. If so, that's quite common where this occurs.
When you upgrade Win 10, you get a new set of drivers from low level upwards. Versions of these may change, and such changes can lead to this problem.

There are numerous threads on tenforums on LatencyMon, stutter - which you can search for and read.

So, once again:
Technical analysis demands the use of the Windows Performance Analyser and Records (learning curve) free from MS.
Resolving it means identifying the appropriate driver and replacing it with an older (not later) version.

There's no easy way to identify the exact cause.

And once again, the other approach is to hope that a crude approach of experimentation by removing or disabling hardware and drivers to see what effect that has.

I had this issue a year ago when I upgraded my motherboard/processor/ram. I managed to solve it after a week of tries... It restarted few weeks ago after my pc decided to wake up from sleep and likely did windows updates.

I tried few things without any luck and decided to reset. The problem still there, just updated the bios again.

I would gladly send any type of report if somebody could solve my issue that way.

- if you've not upgraded Windows, review Update History for driver updates, or see your Device Manager.

Please review past threads on this issue for examples. Note that only 1 member here is really familiar with WPA/WPR as far as I know.

This is NOT easy to resolve. Here's just one recent example thread for you:
DPC Latency problem (Storport.sys, nvlddmkm.sys, dxgkrnl.sys, etc.)

Unfortunately, however much you would like it to be so, no-one's going to be able to provide a quick simple solution.
