    "Farbar saying it is dangerous"
Because it is an .exe, it is giving you a false positive. Use it every day for about 15 years.

I download lots of exes and nothing happens, but it's both Chrome and Windows blocking it.

    Hello @kmint,

[1] Do you mean that you get a WARNING message with NO option to accept the download?
[2] Farbar is safe to download, it is giving a False Positive, this is normal.
[3] If it is just Blocked, have a look at this => How to Unblock a File in Windows 10

    I hope this helps.

It just gets totally frozen and need to restart, happening now and then randomly, usually when I have many things open.
Did it start to happen as soon as you bought the laptop? If not, when did it start? Is the laptop still under warranty? If so, have you contacted the manufacturer?

I just installed Windows clean on a new disk, so how can I have malware so fast?
Malware is not very likely to exist as Windows was just clean installed on a brand-new disk unless you have visited dangerous sites.

I'll run memtest86+, does it help at all to see its health?

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
It will check your RAM for errors. Defective RAM can cause problems.

Run V2 Log collector. Hopefully, @zbook can get a clue from the logs, which are Chinese to me.
