Folders being created seemingly randomly on my secondary drive

    Hey

As of a few weeks ago folders have been created on my secondary drive and I have no idea why, I have tried looking around for a solution but haven't been able to find anything that could hint as to why I am having this issue.

Folders being created seemingly randomly on my secondary drive-folders.png

The folders consist either of no files within them or with a single "FILE" with a random string of numbers and letters. The files are small in size and there aren't that many.

As far as I know, they aren't really detrimental or anything but it is an inconvenience to have to delete the folders every day.

    OSBuild: 19041.804

Any help in solving this issue would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Normally those files are temp install files have you got it set as a temp folder

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you mean by "tip folder", how do I check that?

Aight, checked system settings and nothing even suggests that my secondary drive should be used as a temp folder.
They're in the usual appdata and windows locations.

Those folders with files in them, have you attempted to open with say notepad to see whats in them.

This did not even cross my mind, no idea why haha. Opened one file and it made little to no sense, opened another one and noticed a few artists and album names.
Decided to check Spotify and noticed that for some reason my set offline songs storage location was set for the harddrive instead of the folder which was created for it.

All in all, changed the location for the offline songs storage and my issues were solved.

Thank you all for your help, it was very appreciated.
