    files

I did back them up on an external drive, and then deleted them from OneDrive. Along with those files and others I found, I was able to clear up a good deal of space on my hard drive.
    Thanks for all the help!

Backing up is a very good way to help prevent a disaster in the future. We have so many posters asking how to restore lost files because they didn't make backups. Because of a problem I had recently with a USB external drive I now have a new backup plan. When I make my Images I use two programs and two USB drives. This week I made images with Macrium and EaseUs Todo to a USB drive named A. Next week I'll make the 2 images but save them to a USB drive I named B. The drive giving me trouble has me confused. At times some of my backup folders would not even show in file explorer and other times they would. All drive test showed no problems. I did manage to get the folders I needed copied to another drive.

Winuser, I do something similar to what you do. Because my backups may be up to 2-3 weeks apart, for each laptop, I have two dedicated ext usb 1TB HDDs, we'll call them A and B. I use MR7 to backup C partition onto A, then use Image for Windows to backup C onto B. Same thing with the other laptop: MR7 onto A2, IfW onto B2. I used to put two images, 1 MR7 & 1 IfW onto A, then sometime later do that for B. However, one of the dedicated ext usb HDD suddenly failed, I was able to reInitialize and reformat, however, the backups were gone. I figure the chance of two ext usb HDDs failing together is very slim.
Because the Data partitions contain much more stuff than C partitions ever did, I wait awhile, then do the process concerning laptops' D partitions involving different ext usb HDDs.
