    Missing Tasks From Task Scheduler

    Hello Everyone

My first post, I hope you will be able to help me

    Windows 10 x64 latest version.

Yesterday I updated Windows 10 to the latest version. I started to set up the task scheduler for Ccleaner to clean my Desktop PC at boot.

When I opened Task scheduler there were two error messages as shown in the attachments which are self explanatory.

In essence the Google update feature is missing from the Task schedule and I don't know how to fix it.

    Can anyone help me please

    Thank you

    Terry

Your My Computer doesn't give much of use. Press the Windows key + R, type winver and post the line of numbers.

Not familiar with the program but those messages usually indicate something Windows didn't/doesn't like about it. If still installed I'd uninstall the program, reboot and check the messages are gone then if needed reinstall with a fresh download that should be more up-to-date.

If still having the issue you have 8 days left of the 10 allowed to roll back to the previous version if it was an Upgrade such as from Version 1909 to Version 2004. If it was only a Build update might work to uninstall the last.

Just reinstall Chrome or whatever Google product you were using.

    Hi @ TenForums

Updated Computer Specs, but more to follow.

Just re installed Google Chrome but it has made no difference, The error messages still show when I am opening Task Scheduler.

I really don't want to remove or "go back" to a previous installation because it took ages to install the current version,

So any more ideas would be welcome

    Thank you

    Terry

I had the same issue - created and added a task only to see it disappear after a reboot. Confirmed disappearance from Tasks folder.

In my case, the task was about 2 years old. After confirming that Trend Micro and Drive Vaccine were not involved in its disappearing act, I decided to recreate it - but not from scratch.

I imported v01 of the task then exported it as v02, then deleted the v01 task from Scheduler. I imported v02 and confirmed its retention after a reboot.

My guess is, there were enough differences in the OS version from the time the task was first created to make it fail and delete itself. Someone with more experience with OS versions may know more about why this happens.
