Okay, I think I'm getting it. I just checked my BIOS on this WIN 7 machine and it has the "CSM" enabled, and the "Boot Device Control" is set to... UEFI and Legacy OPROM, like so....
Now, I made the Win 10 DVD (ISO) from MS's Media Creation Tool (it fit on a single layer DVD, btw) (64 bit only), So I should just make sure my BIOS is set like I circled in RED, and then install Win 10 from the DVD?
And that will get me an MBR partition?
Both are ASUS-AMD motherboards. one is the old 990FX chipset and the new one, that isn't quite here yet, is the new x570 chipset.
Btw... this is what I just bought on April 29th. So far only the CPU is here.
System Builder - Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core - PCPartPicker
I won't be able to afford the "RTX 2060 super" until July.
/ee The problem is, that I can only run one comp at a time, and I don't have a smart phone. So I won't be able to look anything up online, after I disassemble this Win 7 computer.
Iirc, to install Win 7 without the reserve partition, I had to make the 500GB Velociraptor drive, one giant partition, and then it installed with no Res partition.
