My Spacebar is acting like the Enter key in message boxes and this is the first time I have noticed it in the 6 months I have had the laptop (HP x360). I just checked an older Dell running Windows 10 Pro and it does the same thing so it is a Windows issue, how to solve?
This behaviour [with things like VBS, VBA & PowerShell MsgBoxes, PopUpBoxes as well as other dialogs] has been the same for years. Only a dialog's author could rewrite the procedure to capture and distinguish between Spacebar & Enter.
I don't see that there is any problem to solve but you could use the Feedback app to report it to MS if you wanted.

I was using Clean Disk Manager and it highlights Cancel and I accidentally pressed the spacebar and canceled it. Guess I need to write my own keyboard handler () if I want it corrected because MS ain't going to fix it.
Nothing to do with Microsoft, that's the way CDM program was written - spacebar activates whatever command button has the focus ... and in this case it was the OK or Cancel button, which terminates the process..
And who supplied Clean Disk Manager?
Edit: I have several message boxes that I wrote and the spacebar works the same way with them.
Yep, the one that came with Window 10. As I said, it acts the same way with all message boxes no matter what software they are created with; I assume this is because the message box is a built in part of Windows and is only accessed by the compiler.
