It's necessary create a usb rescue disk?

Hello, I want to know if it is necessary to create a rescue usb disk, in case windows 10 does not boot, if you already have the original windows 10 installation USB, downloaded through the media creator.

Sorry for my English and thanks.

Hi, it's not necessary to do so. But you should have some tools to hand or be prepared should your PC become unbootable. That is one posisble tool.

This is what a Recovery disk can let you do:
Recover Windows 10 from a Recovery Drive

A Win 10 installation disk lets you boot to Advanced Startup options - but not to Safe Mode.
Boot to Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10
and so attempt certain repair operations.

How can you recover to a previous good state keeping programs and data? Even if you have to format or replace your disk?
The routine use of disk imaging lets you do that. E.g. Macrium Reflect free/paid. You would need its boot disk, or Kyhi's disk (next).

Another tool that is very useful to have is a live boot disk, such as Kyhi's - available from the top of the Software and Apps section.

A recovery media can always come in handy whether it be on usb/dvd/bluray media. Swapping out a HDD, getting a new pc, trying a different OS, malware infection are a few causes that would warrant having a recovery method.

So yeah in summary, it's not necessary but it is strongly recommended to have a recovery media.

If you installed Windows yourself with that windows 10 installation USB, then no, a Recovery Drive USB doesn't do much that you cannot also do with the install USB.

If however you purchased the PC with an OEM Windows 10 pre-installed by the manufacturer, then a Recovery Drive USB with system files included will include all the OEM custom utilities and drivers. It will effectively be a 'factory reset' USB for that specific make and model of PC.

Create Recovery Drive in Windows 10
