Windows installed 1903 version, but no ribbon in file explorer

    Hi there,
Hoping some one can help me out here - We have installed the latest version of Windows 10 pro 1903, but when I open my file explorer I don't have the Ribbon that usually has been there.
If you look at the screen shot I took, there is no down arrow for the ribbon cant pres ctrl+F1 none of that works as the ribbon is not on file explorer at all.
How can I get it back - It was there before the install of the new Windows update.
    Your help is highly appreciated.

    Thank you bro67
I read that, but none of it works - I don't think my file explorer has the Ribbon on it at all installed.
Is there anything else I can try? Is there a way to delete file explorer and re-install?
    Your help is highly appreciated!

it looks disabled in your Group policy

you can also click the down arrow menu in title bar and un-check 'Minimize the ribbon' like this -

Change that GPO to “Not Configured”.

The OP's ribbon is not minimised. It is absent. There is no down arrow to click on.

    Shannon -
1 You can try running SFC as it is clearly a Windows fault/symptom.
2 Have you installed any tweaks / 3rd party 'customisations'? If so, see if the fault is present in Safe mode.
3 Create a new user / use another existing user to see if it is present there.
4 Run a Repair install [aka in-place upgrade]

" There is no down arrow to click on."

the little down arrow next to the big down arrow circled in his screenshot should open the menu in my screenshot, or he should post what shows up when he clicks it. He has minimize ribbon upon opening File explorer in GP too.

Actually the upside down carrot to expand the ribbon is to the far right on the menu bar. That arrow next to the Address Bar just changes your URL location to a point below or before the current menu. The GPO for “Start Ribbon Minimized”, allows you to disable with the pulldown. You can also disable in the Registry. Go in regedit and delete this key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
