how to prevent open windows on 2nd monitor from moving to 1st monitor

    how to prevent open windows on 2nd monitor from moving to 1st monitor


    Running Windows 10 and two monitors, when I shut my monitors off and come back and turn the monitors back on, all of my open windows move over to the left monitor. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

    Hi there, the left monitor is DisplayPort and the right monitor (2nd monitor) is VGA.

    VGA is normally Display 1. You can move which port is 1st by moving the displays in Settings > Advanced Display Settings.

    ok, changed and just tested. all the windows moved to the left screen (VGA)
