    1) Open administrative powershell and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    6) wmic qfe list
    7) get-wmiobject -class win32_quickfixengineering
    8) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    A lithium-ion battery pack have no memory effect, which means that you do not have to completely discharge them before recharging, as with some other battery chemistries. After month of non discharge usage of lithium-ion battery, should be partially discharge, i recommend 25% percent discharge before recharging the battery.

    Good news.

    No, it won't have harmed the battery. A full discharge to 0% may, but you got nowhere near that.

    @tom33 -

    Too many cooks in the kitchen here, me included!
    I think that you might owe all of us a beer.

    When it finishes the charge, let's see if it holds.
    Also, inspect your AC sockets, plugs, etc., for a proper connection.

    I personally would not buy an Acer product for all the tea in China or all the olives in Greece.

    Hope things work out for you.

    it went back up to 100% and seems to be holding it. thanks to everyone who responded. unplugging the cable from the wall then re plugging it was the thing that fixed it,if someone else has this same issue.
