    Run History

How do I enable the "Run History"?

I have a bad memory and like commands like "regedit" or "services.msc" to stay in the history so I can just select them from a drop down. It was working until one of the updates, how can I re-enable it again?

Hi, you seem to be having a lot of problems.. hope you're using disk imaging routinely just in case.

    Hello Soapm,

The tutorials below can help show you how to enable autosuggest and inline autocomplete for Run.

thanks again, I had everything set except this one. Not that I wear a foil hat but I thought it had to do with Microsoft tracking me...

Nar, it's the bug the aliens implanted in you that's tracking you instead.

Other option. I just use RunCommand. It remembers last used commands in the drop down list plus you can add commands to favorites.

Not trying to be unappreciative or sarcastic but google searches seem to turn up more trash than useful information these days. Everyone thinks they're an expert and it's hard for us laymen to tell who is and who isn't full of it. Some of it has you doing a lot of things that really arean't necessary and in some cases dangerous security wise.

An example is from the first link you provided in the screenshot, this is what that person suggested I turn on to fix my history problem.

    Run History-untitled.jpg
Not one of these are "ON" on my machine yet my history is working. I'm not discarding their expert advice but I've found the help I've been getting here is more to the point without including overkill that isn't needed. I have been searching here and looking through the tutorials but you have to admit, the information stored here is really overwhelming to someone at my level. AND, it takes the right word in the search box to find the magic one seeks...

Thanks and sorry to be a bother.

Thanks, I might just give this a try. I like that you can store favorite commands, then I'll have to remember why I thought this command was a favorite??? And at 56, remembering is getting tough.
