    Windows key + V doesn't work

I don't understand why the popup window doesn't appear after Windows key + V which is a new feature in the latest versions of Windows. This feature allows multiple clipboard items to be saved and recopied. I'm using Version 1809 Build 17763 so it should work. EnableClipboardHistory is enabled (1). Clipboard History is enabled in Settings.

Hi, you could check the various ways in this tutorial by which this might be disabled, in addition to those in the Settings dialogue.

Interestingly that first link seems slightly out of date- Win key + V =
    +V Cycle through notifications

    - in 1809 it's Clipboard History

I'm using Home. Thanks everyone but I had previously followed ALL the steps recommended in your posts including enabling Group Policy Editor and enabling "Allow Clipboard History" within it. All the settings for the clipboard are correct but Windows Key + V doesn't work. To dalchina, as I indicated in my post, I am using version 1809 with build 17763. See images.

It is working for me on W10 Pro. The 1st time I tried it opened a small window that showed it turned off and a choice to turn it on. After I turned it on it works fine. It will show what is in the clipboard or if it is empty.

It should work in Home as well, not just in Pro.

I can confirm that WinKey+V didn't work in my 1809 Home either, though after a few attempts I ended up with a phantom window which (I assume) was the non-functioning clipboard history window.

I then switched to another user account on the same machine (without signing out of the first). In that account clipboard history worked. Signed out of that and switched back to the first account where it was still not working.

I then signed out of the first account and back in again. Now WinKey+V is fully functional. So whatever caused it to fail seems to have been a temporary effect. Signing out was sufficient to clear it (as would a restart, I'd expect).

    Bree, you're incredible!

I followed the same steps and it worked.

I created another account because I didn't have one already. In that new account, Windows + V worked. I then logged out of the new account and logged backed into my main account and like magic, Windows key + V worked! I have no idea why this worked but it doesn't matter as long as it works.

Thanks so much for your efforts.

I think the crucial step was signing out of your main account and back in again. You were in luck that I had the same temporary fault and could investigate it.

I don't know exactly why it worked either. I suspect that something had got 'out of step' and just needed resetting. I've found no way (yet) to reproduce the fault, so can't investigate further.
