Bootrec.exercise will not run with /fixboot argument

I am trying to resolve a Windows boot up issue using the bootrec.exe utility. The program resides in my c:\windows\system32 directory. Running the program with no arguments responds with a thick hyphen character. But when I try to run "bootrec /fixboot", I get the error message "The system cannot find the file specified."

What am I doing wrong?

Use bootsect.exe utility to rebuild your computer’s boot sector code.

Code:

bootsect /nt60 sys

You should be able to execute bootrec /fixboot command if needed.

When you power on the computer what do you see?
What steps have already been tried?

Were you able to open the the computer's windows advanced troubleshooting menu?
Or were you able to open a Windows 10 iso advanced troubleshooting menu?

Find a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images of the commands and results into the thread using share links (one drive, drop box, or google drive)

Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

Depending were you are booting from it may not find bootrec you may need to change to the folder or enter the full path ie c:\windows\system32\bootrec
