All OK before performing Reset of PC. Now dead

Well, I thought I knew what I was doing. The computer is an Acer Veriton VN4620G-i5333X. Originally a Windows 8 computer that I upgraded to 10 when 10 was released long ago. The upgrade went seamlessly. The computer has been sitting idle for a couple years. I decided I would try to sell it. To wipe any chance of my data from it I performed a Reset of PC to erase everything and start over. That is when it all went South.

The reset appeared to be progressing OK until I noticed the PC rebooting over and over again. Finally to display a message that something was corrupted. I decided to use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and boot to the flash drive. Again, everything looked fine. It even got to the Hello etc. Never actually got to the desktop. The last action it started to perform was applying any needed updates. A while later it is started rebooting over and over again.

I tried several things, but now it is even worse. The computer will start to boot and almost immediately shutdown.

Can anyone offer an idea to save this little PC?

If this is a second PC you can add it the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Windows 10 Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

Use Kyhi boot rescue if there are any important files to save:
Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk - Windows 10 Forums
Use Kyhi boot rescue to test the drive:
Download and install HD Tune: https://www.hdtune.com/
Post images for test results on these tabs:
    a) Health (SMART)
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

If the hardware is ok then perform another clean install with the Windows 10 iso.
During the clean install choose to upgrade later.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I ran the Kyhi boot rescue as indicated along with HD Tune. There were no abnormal findings with the hard drive. Strange thing was that after that the PC no longer tried endlessly shutdown and reboot. It still would not run windows, but did not reboot. I decided to try a clean install again as recommended.

I did so. This time I had a problem with GPT style partitions. I deleted all the partitions to start new and Windows installed fine. This time I had no problems with updates.

Looks like all is good. Thanks for your help and thanks for introducing me to the Kyhi boot rescue. I had never heard of this before. Great learning experience.

    That's great.
    You are welcome.
