Hi @olafbj and welcome to Tenforums.

And what happens at shutdown? Any extra description would be fine. If you don't use hibernation, you could disable fast startup (for beginning) with command in elevated command prompt:

    Code:
    powecfg -h off
But, filling up your system specs and describing a problem would help us

I apologize, was posted at 4am ish (local time) after googling the web for answers .. tired and lazy

I had already tried that without luck. All drivers are up to date. Its a new ASUS VIVOBOOK (R542UA-DM489T)

    15,6" FullHD screen
    16 GB RAM
    256 GB M.2 SSD
    Intel® Core™ i5-8250U processor
    Intel® HD graphics 620
    AC Wifi & 4.1 bluetooth
    2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 3.1 (TYPE-C) & HDMI
    Windows 10 Home

The pc worked fine before the update, but after it the pc wont shut down (unless I force it). Even tried letting it run over night but come morning it was still just the same, like so..

Use the "My Computer" section to update the computer specs:

In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)
