Downgrading Windows 10 & keeping it from changing my drivers

I upgraded to Windows 10 when it was free. My laptop did fine but with subsequent upgrades the performance is very slow. Is there a way I can go back to the original Windows 10 & stay there with no further upgrades? Also how can I stop Windows 10 from changing my drivers that go with my hardware? Especially my graphics are horrible with a Windows driver. I looked up the topic but it has been past the 30 days & I have no option to rollback. I am going to upload screenshots of my Windows backups so you can let me know if I could use those. Thanks.

Yes you need to prevent WU from updating your drivers this tutorial should get you going Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

In the meantime, you should go to the manufactures support website and download the latest Windows 10 drivers for your notebook and Install them should solve your problems.

The best thing to is create disk images that way you can just restore to an image created before the issue started. Macrium Reflect Free is very popular on the fourm it much easier and faster to restore an image than to roll back an upgrade. Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect | Windows 10 Tutorials

    A few more questions please

Could I use the ISO images in the screenshots I provided? There is an option to Mount. However I am a bit confused on the last screenshot where it has 3 files all on the same date. Which one would I choose? What updates should I make after going back to an earlier version of Windows 10? Should I manually install security updates or won't an old version accept new security updates? Should I not download any updates? I did do a search but could not find detailed answers to my exact situation. I also found info on stopping driver updates by just using google but I always like to check a couple of sources. I have 3 or 4 flash drives that I download the Windows 10 ISO from in the past. Should I use one of those instead?
Unfortunately this is an old laptop & the manufacturer no longer supports it with anything new.

You can clean install any Win 10 build you like- all are available for download. However there is probably not now a way to stop it upgrading AND receive updates for that build.

A clean install means deleting all existing partitions created when Windows was installed (but you can keep any data partitions).

    or
Clean Install Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

Feel free to search the Tutorial section:

You would have no other option than to clean install if you wanted to use an older build, unless you have a disk image created of that build on your PC (We strongly recommend the routine use of disk imaging).

A way that involved using a metered connection then detecting and blocking an upgrade that was proposed is now said not to allow the receipt of updates. However, if you look at the News section, if you were to install, say, build 1511, you could manually download the last available update for 1511 from the thread for that update. (Would take a bit of searching through that section). There is a thread per build per update with manual download links.

You would then have to block updates - which would mean Defender updates too, so you may prefer to use a 3rd party AV.

Note that each Win 10 build also comes with a distinct set of drivers. Thus older non-approved incompatible devices may well receive inappropriate drivers.

You can check Toshiba's list to see if your PC was ever approved for use with Win 10.
Here's the list for the US as an example- you can search for the list relevant to you.

If that was my machine... I would update the bios (there is one from 2016 ) Turn off driver updates in windows and keep 1803.

I have a couple of clients with that machine and are having zero issues with 1803.
