I had office 2007 pre-installed on a PC running 32-bit Win7, that was upgraded to Windows 10 and is now running version 1803, Office 2007 still works.

But two points there, the known problem with Excel crashing only seems to affect Office 2002 & 2003, and then only in 64-bit Windows version 1803.

Office 2007 is quite compatible with Win10, our church has it on 2 Desktops and 1 Notebook, all 64-bit. No software is foolproof uncrashable but most programs do well. Office 2007 is becoming limited on support as most software does over time, can use Search to find End of Life for it.

EoL was officially 10/10/2017, windows update will of course still give you all available updates - EoL doesn't stop that.

End of extended support for Office 2007 on October 10, 2017

    Probably a sensible decision...

I bought a cheap Office 16 licence key for 1 PC from Amazon UK a year ago for £15 which still works fine. Check with the supplier that the keys work on an official download from MS.
