One of the potential pitfalls of installing with any version of other than the one available in 48 hours, +/-. MS still has little tentacles of Insider attached to you, no matter what you try to tell them.
So what version do you advise me to use? Fall Creators update?

What are you trying to do? Get a clean base system? Use 19299 FCU. It will update to SCU next week or so, or do it yourself. Want a clean base SCU? Wait until Monday and get the ISO with the MCT. Clean install it.

    Download Windows 10

Yeah, I know about that. I just wondered if the only way to remove traces of being an Insider earlier on was to install Fall Creators update. I plan to install the RTM when it's released anyway. I guess this will remove the stuff I'm seeing now: "Feedback frequency: "Windows Insider Program manages this option".

You can just wait for the final RTM, and once it's installed/updated with a Cumulative Update, OPT out from Insider Programme and all your settings should be manageable as usually.

So I heard that the April Update will come out tomorrow April 30th but it wont be pushed till May 8th as part of the Tuesday monthly update. Think it would be better to wait till then?

The phased rollout through windows update begins on May 8th, but that doesn't mean you'll get it straight away. As with previous rollouts only the newer machines that have been tested and found compatible will get it in the first phase. In particular, machines with known hardware issues will be blocked from receiving it until a fix is in place. For that reason alone, it is safest to wait until windows update says your machine is ready for the update. See this for a description of how the Creators Update rollout worked.

Windows 10 Creators Update rollout: First phase update

If you're impatient then by all means use the Media Creation Tool or the Update Assistant from the 30th onwards, but be prepared to deal with any issues that may arise. As Microsoft said for the Creators Update...

It’s important to note that when customers use the Software Download Site to manually install the Creators Update they bypass many of these blocks. Therefore, we continue to recommend (unless you’re an advanced user who is prepared to work through some issues) that you wait until the Windows 10 Creators Update is automatically offered to you.
For my part, I'll be downloading it on the 30th and running it on my test machine then, if all appears well, upgrading my main machine a week or so later. But then I'm impatient :)
