Let's see the screenshot first before going any further. It may tell us something.

Could you supply the link where you downloaded the "setup.exe" please? I think I know what the issue is, but I need to see the download site if possible. Setup is assuming you have already downloaded the installer package, and is trying to access it. The link to the site where you downloaded would be very helpful. Thanks.

I think the OP needs to click on the Internet Shortcut NOT setup.exe, the install has two web site choices, to select from.

Or that Verify Bin Files. Look at the size of them (bins). The verify may do unpacking. Normally, the setup.exe has all the steps in it. This one may not. If the OP could supply the link where it came from, we could look at the Installation Instructions.

    Thanks for that link.

    Impressions:

    1) it's a Torrent download requiring a login
    2) it requires the user to turn off any/all ad blockers
    3) it requires the user to disable any/all virus protection software
    4) the author/re-packer of this is paranoid

without knowing for certain, I will not say this is a non-official torrent download version, but it kinda smells like one.

    short quote from supplier:

    "
    Disable antivirus

Most likely you have at least one antivirus active. Or even two, like default Windows Defender + AVAST or Malwarebytes or something else. While installing MY repacks (or repacks from other safe groups, listed in my FAQ), disable them. WD and MWB are the only two AVs, which block parts of my installers, while other AVs don’t give a damn. Of course, it’s false positive reaction to my “run.exe” program, which allows execution of multiple compressors/decompressors on all your CPU cores. Check VirusTotal report on this file."

Yes indeeed, your instinct may be correct. I thought that this was a pre-release playable demo. However, the demo is not available on the Steam Store - which in itself is unusual. Secondly, I cannot find any Official mention of this demo. Thirdly, I found another anguished customer (March 2020) here: Why You Should Avoid Fitgirl Repacks Games? Exposed (from APKFuel journal website):
Experience on these repacksI began to use fitgirl repack video games. I Installed Far Cry New Dawn, DMC HD Collection, DMC 5, and probably half a dozen other games from her website and not a single pack has ever worked correctly. They always say they’re missing files on install, have major sound issues, and half the time just crash instantly. I’ve never had a problem downloading the games from other people who release them but hers literally never work properly no matter what I do.
