I really don't know what else to tell you. You say you have the latest drivers and that you looked to the game's site for patches but found none. Maybe the PC is overheating while gaming and thus throttling. Have you checked to see if any of the cooling vents are clogged?
I'm a huge gamer, and build custom gaming rigs, but don't game on laptops. I've two 14 inch i7 laptops and never ever once attempted to game on them. My point is laptops can be extremely finicky due to the mobile processors, GPU's, and drives.
Anyway, based on what you're reporting, it could be an overheating issue where either the GPU or processor starts to throttle if things get too hot. Again, check cooling vents, and listen to see if the fan is running if the PC gets too hot.
And yeah, if the drive the game is on is near filled to capacity that could also pose problems.
Let us know.
