My son and I have been playing Sea of Thieves, a Pirate game MMO
First things interesting about the game is it's cross-platform (PC & Xbox) and there are no special PvP zones. The whole game, including ports, are PvP zones. You can get attacked by other players anywhere at anytime.
The other thing is that Windows 10 has the Xbox Game Bar, which allows seamless cross-platform (Xbox & Windows 10 PC) gaming, including in game chat
My son and I were at the end of our gaming time. We both have lives outside of gaming so we were thinking on what to do. We had a tradition of firebombing our ship and watching it sink but this time there was a ship that had chased us into the harbor. So my son & I set full sails, aimed at the other ship at maximum speed, set our bow of our sloop on fire and rammed them. While I climbed into the crow's nest and nailed the other ship with several firebombs (missed one out of four)
We were using Xbox game chat where you plug your headset into the Xbox Controller and the other players who's ship we were sinking heard every word of my son's and I's back & forth banter and laughter
For an online MMO gamer, the game is the playground and interacting (and killing, burning & plundering) with & to other players makes it a level above just shooting NPCs
There are many MMOs (Massively Multiplayer Online games) to match whatever your cup of tea is and in them you can be quite original
This is my bearded full figure lady pirate Avatar that caused peals of laughter from my daughter first time we sailed together

I just installed MS Flight Simulator 2020 and Red Dead Redmption 2 on a new SSD for gaming since both can be slow to load. Both are over 100GB installations! MS FS 2020 kept crashing to the desktop until I set a fixed size paging file of 32 GB despite having 16 GB RAM. It would probably work wit a smaller paging file.
