It's complete because I did find the mission start for Darpa. The bug was that there was no mission start for Darpa on my map. So at the Pentagon I followed the marker to replay the Pentagon mission and it lead me to the Darpa mission start instead...
Hemimax - I found the Darpa boss quite tough but no much harder than any other. For the mortars I just dodged rolled to a new cover each time he said he was launching mortars. I left the turret to take care of guys around the perimeter while I focused on the boss.
I have quite a lot of armor, armor attributes and talents. My turret has lots of armor and a high repair skill level. Maybe those helped me through this mission and the Pentagon mission. You might have taken on Darpa too soon with not beefy enough gear...
I don't care what level "you" are, DARPA is tough. Anyway it's not the Boss that's tough (I've not run into any "tough" bosses, its the mechanics around getting to them before they or their team takes you out.
The trick around the last DARPA mission surviving long enough to take him out. I didn't find his mortars problematic, I found killing him a pain since he can also raise medics giving him full health and then chasing you down.
BTW the Pentagon mission where you can't use your skill toys until you take out the disruptors is also a nice challenge on hard. I'm starting to play a lot of missions on "hard" in solo play.
I already played Pentagon on hard, now I'm onto DARPA again
It was quite tough but I passed it on about the forth try. My turret and drone take care of most of the surrounding enemies while I focus on bringing the boss down. I took a lot of long range shots at him and he got one health restore in but eventually he came right out into the playing field and I brought him down with the Chameleon exotic rifle with 50/50 critical hit chance/damage. I'm getting crazy amount of critical's with the Chameleon...
The trick is to kill the boss before he uses the medic skill again or hit him hard while he's using it. I'm not totally sure but you may be able to prevent them from having a successful medic health restore by damaging them enough while they're using it...
You did take the laser turrets out first?
Exotic modding?
I would like to hunting the Nemesis rifle but I keep getting the same invaded strongholds over and over, they do not rotate to the others
