FYI, there was a recent update to Tom Clancy's Division 2 which added "new areas to the map. The new areas allow you to be helicoptered in the area for the mission. Well after being offered one of those missions I accept.... only to find if I really want to do those missions I'll need to cough up some money for a 1-year pass.
This is a reminder why I hate these type games. BTW there are other in-game missions (and gear items) that can only be accessed by purchasing a pass. I can understand making money, but if I buy the base game, don't offer any in-game missions only to have the player to find when they attempt to do them.... pay us please. Not a fan of "in-game" purchases.
BTW, and as a side note, I find the game now takes longer to load after this latest update. Not sure what that's about. Anyone else notice this?
For clarity, I understand DLC's and have bought many of them. What I don't like is being offered an in-game mission only to find you have to pay to access it. This is sort of like baiting where they say go do this mission... you go to do it and then they say oh yeah... you have to pay (more) to play this one. Kind of cheesy.
All that said, I'm actually going to purchase a Year 1 pass just to see what's there. Plus, to be honest, I did get the game for free with the purchase of my GPU. However, I still think this tactic is cheesy.
Tom Clancy's Division 2 is not a Steam game. I know because I also have Steam. It requires Ubisoft's game platform (Uplay).
But yes, the game now takes longer to load than it did before this latest update. That's clicking the game's exe to when you actually get in the game. Same as I've done since getting the game.
Anyway we're talking about two different games as you have Division 1 on Steam, whereas I have Division 2 on Uplay. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is not on Steam as I just double-checked. It's either Epic or Uplay. I have Uplay.
I've jumped back into GTA Online to play around now that they've finally added the casino. The missions are pretty fun, and it's nice to be able to do some in game gambling without having to worry about actually losing anything.
