    Windows 10 drivers help

    Hello,

I am trying to install Windows 10 64bit onto my custom built PC and I'm having trouble loading/installing drivers and was wondering if anyone could help me :S

[My motherboard is an ASUS B250M-K]

I've attempted downloading all relevant drivers such as the SATA drives and the LAN drive from the ASUS website and put them onto my USB and tried to load them in the drive setup stage of the Windows 10 installation but this is to no avail.

I've noticed they are all .exe files which is problematic and also I'm not even sure which drives I need or if I'm loading them correctly.

Any help would be much much appreciated!!!

Hi there, Swell. Welcome to Ten Forums.

    I have an Asus MoBo.

Drivers won't install that way and is complicated to do so, but possible. You're better off letting install complete, make a restore point or a backup disk, then load each driver via it's exe.

You may want to compare the drivers via Device Manager to see if Windows already installed the drivers from the Asus site first.

I'm in the collecting information part in the Windows installation. It's asking me 'Where do you want to install windows?', the stage that comes right after choosing custom install.

Are you on the screen where you pick a drive? If so, pick it and install.

As I mentioned and very complicated, you can create a custom install disk using this tutorial: Customize Windows 10 Image in Audit Mode with Sysprep Windows 10 Installation Upgrade Tutorials

Along with this: Add Device Drivers to Windows During Windows Setup | Microsoft Docs

There is nothing to select, that's the problem. Are you saying I'm meant to be selecting my hard drive at this point? (If so, my Seagate 1tb HD isn't appearing despite being connected properly). I thought I was meant to be selecting motherboard drivers here hence the first post expressing my concerns. Here is a picture of what comes up when I click load driver.

When I click load driver it says 'to install the device driver for your drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files.
Installation media can be a CD, DVD, or USB'
