To access Recovery Tools, are you using a CD or a USB thumb drive?
Can you run the "free mini tool" again and take a screenshot with the camera so we can see the drive's layout and partitioning?
You should be able to boot to the mini tool (CD or USB) on the problem machine.
If you want to make a bootable USB Recovery Drive, use this tutorial:

And be sure to uncheck the box mentioned in Step 5 of Option 1.
Hi.
Just a thought - if a virus, and boot is gone, you could try rebuilding it through the option in Macrium Reflect Free. That program (Macrium) is available in Kyhi's custom rescue media. It also gives you a W10 desktop and lots of other programs. You could run chkdsk, and even copy over your user files while you're in it.
Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk - - Windows 10 Forums
You can also run Malwarebytes while in that.
(Sorry if you've tried this already -I haven't read all three pages.)
Disk 2 is my HD, currently in a USB enclosure on my wifes laptop.
OK. First thing I notice is that the disk is MBR, not GPT like your wife's.
Do you have any info to share regarding why this is?
Was it always MBR? Were any changes made while trying to fix the problem that could have converted it from GPT to MBR?
Do you know what partitions G: and H: are? Meaning, did you create these and know what data is/was in them?
The 129MB Unallocated space could have been the old MSR Partition. But the disk would need to be GPT to have more than 4 Primary partitions.
Did you recently create a new partition? Perhaps just before this problem began?
Partition E: is obviously the EFI System partition and looks OK
Partition F: is obviously your C: drive with Windows.
Partition G: and H: are odd sizes, odd sizes to be the MSR partition that is. Could be manufacturer partitions for some reason. Too small to be recovery partition.
Any info would be a help.
@TV2 Wow, first let me say thank you. Hmm, I am not actually sure about the MBR/GPT, this SSD was cloned from the stock HDD almost a year ago. So maybe something caused it to convert?.... I can't think of anything I did, the computer was on all night downloading, then I have it set to turn off on its own,
I am not sure about the Partition sizes, I know one is a small Asus recovery, and the other was there from Asus... The unallocated space has never been there before, and I was thinking that it could have something to do with this whole issue, I tried partition recovery No luck.
Could I use PW and convert it to GPT?
