I updated this setting in my Registry as well and the Power Tab still doesn't show up. Perhaps you're right. It's frustrating because I want to leave my laptop lid closed and wake screen with the external keyboard.

Yes, I agree it's frustrating, but newer PC's appear to remove the Power Management by design. Suggest you undue the Registry changes you made, and look into the Power Options to make changes necessary to wake your PC.

    Good luck achieving your goal.

I checked on my Acer laptop, and I too do not have the Power Management tab in device manager. Does your keyboard show up as "Standard ps/2 keyboard" too?

The Asus laptop that doesn't have the Power Management Tab has an Enhanced PS/2. But the absence of the Tab is not in the driver, I think it's in the OS of newer PC's.

That is good to know. I hope they could add it back. Thank you for telling me.

How would that explain that I have two keyboards, one has the Power tab, and the other one doesn't? Every solution, including the registry one you mentioned, is generic and not device specific. What happens in my computer shows that something else is going on.
