There's also been a firmware update for the 860 Evo, RVT02B6Q.

5.2.1 is now available, check your Magician's for the update.

For those not from the EU, but are curious...

    A. Information We Obtain

Samsung collects the following personal information of you when you use the the SW:

    • Required Information

IP address, Magician language, Magician version, information on the SSD (volume capacity, driver, driver version, SSD firmware, SSD serial number, SSD model name, SSD SMART value), mainboard (type, manufacturer), CPU model, memory size, storage list, OS, OS language, and OS architecture.
And people complain about Microsoft data collection, right?

I've been saying for awhile that all software do this and if anything, Microsoft is late to the party...

Rapid mode is supported in my Windows 10 x64 1809 17763.165 using Samsung 850 EVO 256 GB with the new 5.3.0 version.
Also for 850 PRO 256 GB.
Thanks for replying to my post.
    Otherwise I wouldn't have thought to try a re-install of version 5.3.
After the re-installation of version 5.3,
it does indeed support Rapid Mode,
    for my 850 EVO SSD.
However, this was not the case,
when I previously installed this version.
So I uninstall version 5.3 and reinstalled version 5.2.1.
    It's now working as intended,
with this re-installation of the latest version.

    Thanks.

Don't rush at Firmware updates unless you have an Issue , many found out the hard way in Jan/Feb that even Samsung can screw up and had to RMA their Drives as Firmwares cannot be downgraded.

I am running SM version 5.0.0 (says latest) and it does not detect Samsung PM951 or PM981 SSDs.
    It does detect 850 Evo.
    Weird.

which version might detect these ssds?

PM951 and PM981? Magician version 5.3(and 5.2.1) will, but those are OEM/system builder SSDs, and will not show as much info.

Magician is actually only for retail versions.
