In my case on the machine below in my specs, it kept saying I was set to 3Gb/s when IRST say's 6Gb/s for example.
The problem could be that my system disk is an older M.2 PCIe NVMe Samsung SAMSUNG_MZVLV512B(PM951) SSD that isn't Magician supported, and is SCSI, so maybe it was a path problem. I could set up RAPID for my 850EVO but after a while Magician would turn it off and make that identification change from 6Gb/s 3.
On my laptop, it was just acting flakey, and on my Lenovo desktop, I just uninstalled it because I uninstalled it on the other two.
For now, I use CrystalDiskInfo for S.M.A.R.T and I can even read the temperature for each disk, plus it shows me the current firmware, and I can then either temporarily reinstall M5 to update it, or download it at Samsung and install it using a bootable USB stick.
CrystalDiskInfo also supports M.2 PCIe NVMe SCSI SSD's
Like I said, this is only until Samsung updates Magician so it works again.
