    Deleting Volume ?

    O.k.....On my four Toshiba laptops, all running the latest version of W10, ONE of them asks which volume to use......the other three don't......why is this ?......and can I safely delete the second, unused volume ?.......I've had a look at the tutorials on this subject, and can't seem to find a suitable answer......any help appreciated......these are the two partitions, or volumes, can I delete D ?Deleting Volume ?-photo1430.jpg

    It's good to have a 2nd partition. Do not delete (D:)!
    Use it as storge for your data

    No it won't boot if you do it's set as active which means that's the drive with boot files on it. You could set c as active and reset boot files then delete and extend c

    You seem to have installed Windows on two disks/partitions.

    I suggest you post a complete view of Disk management [that includes making all text visible by expanding columns in the top half].

    Had you, perhaps, tried to run a Windows installation as part of fault rectification?
    Perhaps you ran BCD commands?

    @Del 80
    So you run a Dual-boot-system and this is the first time you realize that? You must have installed it!

    Yes but it is difficult to read anything useful because it does not show the whole Disk mgmt window and you have not expanded the columns of the top half so that the descriptions can be read [the tutorial takes you through doing that].

    And see this
