Mouse plugged to USB hub has to be switched on / off before recognized

I have a mouse a plugged into a USB hub. When I turn the computer on I have to switch the the USB hub on and off before the mouse is recognized.
I have my keyboard plugged into the same hub without any issue. It works right away, as do other devices plugged into that hub.

I tried putting the mouse into a different port on the hub, and tried uninstalling the mouse driver. SAme result.

    Any ideas?

Does plugging the Mouse into your pc make any difference ?
In the Search box, type in ---dxdiag ---and expand the Input page and the Mouse section. Are there any reports ?

Plugging it into the PC direct does work. I moved my desktop to the other side of my desk, thats why I have to plug it into a usb hub now.

Is the Hub self-powered or does it require power via the usb socket ?
If the latter, then try different sockets and be aware, not all sockets are equal with respect to power supply.
Also try different Hub sockets for the mouse.
If possible, try an extension lead for the mouse directly to your pc.

Always plug the mouse and keyboard directly into the desktop motherboard ports.
If the cords aren't long enough get extender cables.

    Always...
