The Samsung 980 Tomshardware .com gave it a good 4 star rating, it's a good ssd for everyday tasks... it has no drams but it's a hbm type ssd ( can't remember well of the order of the letters) which uses the dram of the computer, 60mb for the 980. You can see the test from tomshardware.com U.S.

Hey all. Went and bought the 970 and all is well. Everything went as per normal. Appeared in BIOS. Appeared in Windows installation. Windows is installed. I'm currently typing this on the laptop :) It's scary how fast everything is omg. I'm definitely not used to it. It goes by so fast it feels like a error occurred lmao.

Hopefully I won't get the "No Boot Device" on power on again. I'm hoping that was related to the hard drive.

Is it worth installing the samsung ssd program? I cant think of the name.

Thanks for everybody's input and help. <3 If anything changes while I use it i'll update here.

Superb .That's what I would have done for me too, take the 970 rather than the 980 dramless.

Yes throughout the life of the ssd it is preferable to install the "Samsung magician" software.

Don't forget the ssd is guaranteed for 5 years, the invoice...
