Yes, all that is needed is an adapter depending upon the type of drive. Some are cables with power supplies and some are External USB Cases. Once your data is retrieved the drive can be repartitioned and formatted to use for storage.
You wont be able to gain access to a lot until you take ownership of folders as they will be owned by the other users SID
Better to be safe, do you have a usb stick you can copy everything to before you take the drive out ?
I mean if you don`t have a ton of stuff to move.
