Bluetooth stopped working (Device Descriptor Request Failed) Code 43

The Bluetooth on my Gigabyte Aero 14 (Windows 10 Home 19042.685) suddenly stopped working. I can't find it anymore in device manager, and in its place there's an entry under "Universal Serial bus controllers" that says "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)".

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the device, but I keep getting the same error: the device status reports the message:

    Code:
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

Also tried uninstalling/reinstalling all USB devices following Bluetooth Missing? How to Fix Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) - Netcruzer TECH - YouTube, which describes the same issue I have).

Installed and reinstalled Bluetooth drivers too (Download Software and Drivers for Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)). The Windows 10 troubleshooting tool didn't help, and says I do not have Bluetooth on this computer.

Services.msc reports that Bluetooth Support Service is running (Automatic Trigger Start). Bluetooth User Service doesn't seem to start automatically, but I can manually turn it on. Doesn't have any effect though.

I ran scannow and cleanup image, but those didn't help.

Anything else I can try before calling it a hardware failure and... buying a Bluetooth dongle I guess?

Have you tried to see if the problem still exists when performing a Clean Boot or booting into Safe Mode? . . .

    > Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts
    > Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10

    I hope this helps.

Good point, forgot to mention this. Unfortunately safe/clean boot have no effect on this issue.

Is the BT a separate small card in the laptop, or on the MB? If separate, you could try popping the case and re-seating the card.

How can I check this? My laptop is a Gigabyte AERO 14 (7700HQ). It's the one reviewed here: Gigabyte Aero 14 (7700HQ, GTX 1060) Laptop Review - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

There's an image of what it looks like with the bottom lid removed (attached below). I think it's very likely to be integrated in the motherboard -- don't see any separated card in the picture.

I saw a pic similar, and I can't locate your user manual for hardware. I suspect, as you do, it's on the MB. I found tons of YouTube vids on replacing parts, but none for BT. It was just a thought, if possible.

Just a note about Bluetooth, most times in Notebooks and an option for Desktops the Wireless/Wi-Fi adapter contains the Bluetooth feature. Have seen times where the Wireless part will work but not the Bluetooth, and the hardware [keyboard or physical switch] turning off the Wireless also turns off the Bluetooth. I have a few Notebooks and most have the Bluetooth but for those without I use a USB Dongle such as by IOGEAR to get it.

Speccy tells me it's a GIGABYTE P64V7 (U3E1). I can't find any particular information on it online, but I know for sure I have an Intel Bluetooth adapter. These are the drivers I use, and they were working just fine til today's incident: Download Software and Drivers for Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)

That looks like an integrated adapter, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Hello @st1led,

Have you got a Restore Point that you can use that is prior to this happening?

    I hope this helps.
