Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse Issues Since Windows Update

Ever since the recent update my bluetooth keyboard and mouse are hopeless!

I changed the batteries on the mouse with brand new ones and it's better, but every once in a while (<30 mins) I have to remove and reinsert them to get it to reconnect. (It will still be lit, but Windows not recognising it)

The keyboard even worse. I have to reinsert the batteries and re-sync the keyboard but it will only work for a few minutes before losing contact with the computer. Any ideas if this is a common complaint?

I'm using the onboard bluetooth from my motherboard, and decent Microsoft branded keyboard and mouse.
    Thanks

Let me know if installing this driver fixes the problem:

    https://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/mb/...set_300_WT.zip

    1. Close down all programs
    2. Install driver
    3. reboot system

Alas, the problem is still there!
My bluetooth mouse needed the batteries removing and reinserting a couple of times yesterday afternoon, though the keyboard stayed connected. And the keyboard was awake enough to wake the PC this morning, but trying to actually use it is dropped out within 10 minutes. Resyncing it didn't work. Reinserting batteries didn't work. I'm now using a wired keyboard, and considering looking for a 2.4GHz mouse and keyboard set instead of (kinda pricey) Microsoft hardware.
I wish I knew what was causing this!

    I'm sorry to hear this.

Have you updated the rest of drivers?
And bluetooth driver from the link above?

If yes and not working, this link might help:

Just make sure not to download drivers from "drivereasy", I just can't find better site.

I don't have any power options :-( The adapter I seem to be using is simply called Intel Wireless Bluetooth, and the properties only have General, Advanced, Driver, Firmware, Details and Events.

I've removed several bluetooth devices in device manager, turned on Show Hidden and found multiple instances of several things, including the keyboard and mouse in question. And a par of bluetooth headphones which was there three times shown and twice hidden! So I disabled uninstalled these. But ons came back once I restarted.
Anyway, the bluetooth keyboard still refuses to connect when I try to add it as a new device. It shows in the Add a Device searching window, but just says please try to connect again every time...
Mouse is kinda useable however, but behaves like it's got dead batteries and needs them taking out and back in again every hour or so! (Trying another fresh pair now...)
