    Printer No Longer Working

Using Windows 10, 64 Bit version

I have an Epson WF-7720 Printer that has a wireless connection to my computer.
Today, it stopped printing, an error message reads:

"The Active Directory Domain Services is Currently Unavailable"

Has this anything to do with the Windows update to Ver. 1909 that was just installed ?

If so, how do I fix this ?

    Thank you,

    Richard S.

I read about a possible quick-fix for this problem. No guarantees but at least this requires almost no effort and it might work.

Open Notepad. Then go to File > Print. You will see a button captioned "Find Printer." Make sure your printer is connected and turned-on then click the Find Printer button.

Also uninstall the printer software, get the latest version and reinstall.

There is a bug with certain printers using Windows 10. You may need an out-of-band update that has been released on MS catalog.

18363.904 for w10 v1909 and 19041.331 for w10 v2004. Check the News section of this forum.

PS - You may need to reinstall printer driver too afterwards.

    Printer No Longer Working

That's just wonderful. Why do they release software with bugs in it ? Can't they test this stuff ??
Where's the fix for this abomination ???

I have up to date software installed for my Epson Printer, so that's not an issue.

As for the fix in the News section ... must I slog through the entire list or can someone pin down the
    location in finer detail.

    Thank you

Did you try the cheap fix in Post No. 3?

Also, since you have a wireless printer, your problem may very well be network related. When I updated to 1909, the update broke my LAN and the fix required resetting a number of services and features. Take a look at this tutorial and check to see if your computer is properly set-up for file and print sharing. Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10

I have 4 computers and 1 printer, all on a Wireless Network. They have been working for some years,
that is until this latest update.

Also, I can scan documents on the Printer and save them on the computer, so that link still works.
just get an error message (nothing more, just error) when I try to print.

    Thank you,

    Richard S.
