Wrong Icon on WD EXT HDD BackupDLL file

Good Afternoon can I get some help please (when you are able)?
I was backing up (OC) C;/ using AOEMI onto W D EXT HDD (E Backup Partitions FFFF & GGG in preparation for a Windows 10 Clean install”
2 hours later I noticed the W D Passport LED was on but not flashing or active as Normal so I tried to find the W D Config App as > C\ >Programs > W D Program that would be the start Program for the W D EXE HDD
I found WDApplication, Config File Manager,.EXE and I opened it thinking it was the WD App but the Choose an app from MS Store to open this program with came up and somehow I clicked UTorrent and it was showing the UT Icon I clicked and Torrent flashed up but would not open the dll file I closed it and changed to the Firefox Icon began
How do I change it back to the correct same Icon as the other three dll config files and Icons and will it still work?
During this I noticed the W D LED was Flashing as normal again and still is but I still cannot access it as you will see from the screen shot’s they tell a better story
This is all before I can solve the W D EX HDD not being recognised as Drive (E) issue which is all I was trying to do when this happened,

The drive or a network connection that the shortcut WD EX HDD (E), Link refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disc is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again

Is it possible that the WD drive E\) has somehow become O C\ ?

Is it Possible that the Desktop Shortcut to E has changed somehow and that why it cannot find the Path to the WD EX HDD
This brings me back to trying to find the WD App in the first place in Programs?

Reset the .dll back to the correct file type with Brink’s fix:
Restore Default File Type Associations in Windows 10

Unfortunately I cannot see any screenshot.
Once the fix has been run I would disconnect the external drive & reconnect it, also check that it has the correct drive letter which it had previously.
You may need to set Acronis up to find the drive again or create a new shortcut.

Thanks for the quick reply I will try and send ALL attachments as JPEG instead of PNG?? Could that be why you cannot see the Attachments?
The trouble I have now is I cannot Identify wich File I altered to file Type on, the more could it somehow be the fault of the Desktop Shortcut I have been using since Installing the W D EX HDD the more I see all this the more I think it is not WD EX HDD E;\\ FFFF, GGG itself as such that was the original Shortcut path to that Drive but I cannot find the original
Path to open W D from programs or another Shortcut is it in Programs or APPS Cheers Dasha

Thanks, I can see them now. Yes it may have been that they weren’t .jpg. :)
The file path doesn’t look correct.
If the drive isn’t showing under disc management then it may have failed.
Also if you can’t find the program perhaps it’s been uninstalled, try installing it again to see what happens.
The program would be under program files (x86) or program files, if not there then it may have been uninstalled or corrupted.
You should be able to change the icon back easily, if the drive shows under Computer (I might have to double-check how to do it) You can right click on the drive, properties tab, change icon, search under the drive for the .ico File & click on this to change it back.

G/day I have Returned Bastet not completely empty-handed but a few more clues have appeared I have lodged a Thread at WD Forum but there has no reply I hope they do better on the Warranty side of things

I had a WD EX HDD for Years and installed this one (W D Passport) in Dec 2018 after the old one died and when I set up I tried to open the Cloud But it refused to accept any Password and yesterday it did it again so no WD Cloud
I have sent another Screen Clip and it shows clearly that there are Two WD S/N on here somewhere and can only assume that I am opening the old one with Password Remover or WD Unlock But the New WD Passport has a new Password on it and I remember a week ago I could not get into it" I think I was trying to enter the Old WD HDD with the new Password and I Changed the Password? That might be why I cannot get into the latest WD Passport (These Passwords would drive a man to Drink) So can anyone give any clues I don't think W D want to know me? Is there anyone in the Group who is a Dedicated EX - HDD Back-up Expert, OR is there another section of this Forum that I should be in? I tried Kari but I think a lot of the Forum experts are indisposed Like we all are? Anyway if you can let me know your thoughts? I would appreciate it greatly

New information reopening Continuing WD Passport HDD Drive File Path Not Recognised & Incorrect Drive Letter
I have returned to continue this thread Is there someone in this forum who can help me with My WD Passport HDD and WD My cloud Since my last post See all the ScrShots in this original post above

I have made a discovery all the Files on WD HDD (E) GGGG & FFF at Partition GGGG have appeared and they work Music, Pictures, some doc's I first found Partition GGGG in Media Monkey _Library_ Music_ Location Etc see ScrClip I followed it back too File Explorer_SidePanel_Networks_GLENBARBADJO_USERS_Me I can access Partition GGGG on the WD HDD DRIVE (????) @ Partition three ) Drive (E)// GGGG & FFF are not in the Explorer Tree, I know its a Mess but if I can get those files back from W D HDD I will be able to Clean Install Windows and claim a New W D Passport on warranty Thanks to all Regards Dasha

Hi TB This is all changing every minute it was what you asked but now its all Changed this PC is so messed up but it's not an Icon problem now it's File Association EG the W D Passport Config is a Ntlog (and there are at least 15 of them none in a folder) the application W D is a kdd File still won't open though and? Should it not be an INI file? if you look back there is something happening every day when we talked about Files There were only 2 Folders in Explorer, since the GLENNBARBADJO Network Re appearance there is 3 again
W D Passport is a kdd File The CONFIG File is NLog-- the 3rd Program Folder is Back and now I can also see Drive E has returned But it's only Seeing 512 Bytes of [ E ]thre other Partitions are Gone and it's asking to be Reformatted - Capture TB Rather than waste your time I am just going to cut my losses do another Back-up and do the Clean install I got my 55 yrs of Music back from the W D and that's brilliant,
I cannot find out where to Backup to I won't use AOMEI again

AND what Format does W D have to be Formatted to the Last one was NTFS I wrote WD and asked (no reply) yet I had about four different replies FAT 3 and I found that FAT32 won't harmonise a PC Windows on NTFS
and it also said to Format a New HDD I must use NTFS and that worked okay for 18 months
