NO windows 10 DHC drivers on gigabyte board

Hi guys

I bought a motherboard back in 2016 installed windows 8 and then in due course I was encouraged to upgrade to win 10.

I did and had no problem until installing updates after version 1804.
After that windows would run ok but would never recover from sleep, [requiring hard reboot] and getting power kernel 41 error in event viewer.
I tried everything to resolve this but when I contacted gigabyte about this they gave me the following reply

On the website specification, the board supports for Windows 8/7/Vista/XP.

GA-970A-UD3P (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global

GA-970A-DS3P doesn't have Windows® 10 DCH Drivers

Therefore it doesn't support the latest Windows® 10 versions.'

My question is why, is there not an option from Microsoft to stop 'feature updates ' or at least a warning that this is an issue, ? and possible workaround or fixes. Just wonder whether gigabyte would be able to update the bios to have windows 10 dch drivers. is it a windows problem or gigabyte problem?

I am running version 1804 with no problems.
However if I try and update to a newer version, then I have serious problems with sleep issues. The computer will go to sleep, but will not recover from sleep. All my drivers are up to date.
When I contacted Gigabyte about this issue they said that my board only has support for win 8. however windows encouraged me to upgrade and in the beginning was very happy.
Anyway I've tried all the usual fixes nothing works. Gigabyte technician says my board does not have DCH drivers so don't upgrade newer version.
Anyway this seems to be an AMD/ Gigabyte /windows issue, not sure who to get correct help from, seems everyone wants to pass buck. But I do see a lot of people with similar issue, and I'm guessing most of them are on the AMD platform?

So far, the only DCH drivers I have encountered are from nVidia for their graphics cards. I haved stayed with the "game ready" drivers (non DCH).

My primary PC was built in 2019. As far as I know, there are no DCH drivers for the motherboard.

Whatever your issue is, I doubt that it has anything to do with a lack of DCH drivers.

Both of my desktop PCs are AMD based, and I had to do clean installs of Windows to get to 1909. If you can do that, it may be the way to go.

I have no pre-installed software, so doing a clean install was not an issue. Re-installing everything took a few hours. The largest annoyance was when I forgot to de-activate Photoshop CS6, so I had to call Adobe and have them reset the activation counter on their servers. Online, I found how to backup files and settings for the Thunderbird email client, so I no longer have to download gigabytes from the Gmail servers.

Yeah could be that the gigabyte technician was just trying to offload the problem. Maybe the DCH drivers is a red herring, but it seemed he was onto something, but whatever it is, I feel that there is something new in the 'feature updates' that is preventing my system recovering from sleep.
I built the computer in 2016
The good news is that I am running win10 1804 with no issues and have blocked updates for the time being.
BTW I am running the Nvidia drivers for graphics and sound.

Btw whenever this problem arose, in event viewer it always signalled an error 41 [power kernel]
